This album is a tribute to Rev. Garrett Walters. He was a clairvoyant healer, meditation teacher and scientist. He was my friend and co-collaborator on many projects and events. We led drum circles, cosmic celebrations and drum-dance-chant events. He always had a smile and a laugh. I thought of him as the laughing Buddha. He left this earthly plane on September 19, 2020.

There is a certain tree at a park in our neighborhood that reminds me of Garrett and I dubbed it The Garrett Tree. I visit this tree often and it makes me feel close to my friend. I wanted to do something to honor his life, and music felt like the best way to do this.

The music presented here is grounding and also ethereal, much like Garrett himself. The titles of each piece are based on words Garrett would often interject into his meditations and teaching. You’ll get a little sample of this on the last track. Enjoy!
